The quickest route to the top of the mountain, to the place where you can truly shine, requires three steps:

You must be willing to explore so you can discover your true purpose and calling.

You must find inspiration and be an inspiration to others.

Through exploration, discovery and inspiration you’ll grow.

Without growth, we become stagnant. Like an unused muscle, we experience atrophy.

In short, without growth, we will eventually fade into nothingness.

  1. I was just talking to Lauren today about this subject. We are either progressing or retrograding all our lifetime there is no such thing as remaining stationary in this life. We will all arrive at our destinations in different ways and at our own chosen pace (or rather God’s). We will all have set backs if we are trying, but we have to realize they are not important as long as our general movement is always upward and forward.

    • Hi Dana,

Thanks for the comment. You’re so true about the destinations and outcomes. Very wise words.

Last summer I was struggling with figuring out direction and what steps to take for something and as I was running I was inspired with this message: “Take action, the results will amaze you.” Not to take action with a specific outcome expected, but to take action in faith without knowing the results. And it’s really been amazing to see what’s unfolding.

I have plenty of room for improvement but I’m off the sidelines and in the game.

  2. I just wrote myself a note to begin outlining the next big creative idea!!

  3. I agree with you and love the name you have for your blog. I, too, find inspiration in Benjamin Franklin. His thirteen virtues have gotten me to get my priorities in order. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with the world.
