I’m finding that many of the idea prompts are about topics that are more personal in nature, rather than generally-applicable.
It’s possible this will change at some point, as I seem to recall Claudia Altucher mentioning in a podcast that the first 90 days are personal ideas and the second 90 days are ideas for others.
In any event, I’ve decided to publish some of the more personal daily ideas over at my professional portfolio site: ShereeMartin.com. One of my goals with the revival of the Ben Franklin Follies is to make this site very focused on ideas that have more universal appeal and application, rather than writing here about topics that are more personal in nature.
It’s my hope that anyone who visits The Ben Franklin Follies will find something that he/she can put into practice to be healthier, wealthier and wiser.
Case in point: The prompt for Day 40 is to list 10 things I regret and then letting them go. That’s a personal post and I don’t mind sharing, but it’s probably not of interest to most people. So I grappled with how to publish it here. I decided to publish my 10 regrets on another site and added a blog topic on the importance of letting go of regrets to my list of things to write about here.
For the Idea Machine posts that I publish elsewhere, I’ll include a link here and update, as necessary, going forward.
