It’s pretty obvious from the statistics that sitting is bad for your health. If you’ve ever been the type to exercise at all, you know that exercise is better than sitting.

What’s interesting (and of concern) is that studies reveal that exercise won’t prevent all the increased health risks that come from sitting eight hours a day.

  1. This was great! I sit so much and blogging is a big contributor. I need to figure this out.

    • I’ve been sitting way, way too much this academic year. I’m usually up and about more, but had a lot of extra grading and was trying to knock out several major research projects (as well as other administrative duties). I’m very excited that I’m about to have a break where I can really get back into the active life (and a regular, daily blogging schedule).
